Service Description

What is an initial consultation? An initial telephone conversation in therapy is the first contact a client makes with a therapist over the phone to inquire about or schedule an appointment for therapy services. During this conversation, the therapist usually gathers some basic information about the client and their reasons for seeking therapy. The conversation typically follows a specific structure and may include the following steps: Introduction: The therapist introduces themselves and their practice and asks the client for their name and contact information. Brief overview of therapy: The therapist may provide a brief explanation of their approach to therapy and what the client can expect from therapy sessions. Reason for seeking therapy: The therapist may ask the client to briefly describe the reason they are seeking therapy and what they hope to achieve from it. Relevant history: The therapist may ask the client some questions about their personal and medical history to better understand their current situation. Logistics: The therapist may discuss scheduling and fees for therapy sessions and answer any questions the client may have about these logistics. Next steps: Depending on the outcome of the conversation, the therapist may schedule an initial appointment or provide the client with additional information about their practice or referrals to other therapists. It's important to note that this initial telephone conversation is often a brief introduction and does not involve a full assessment or therapy session. The purpose of this conversation is primarily to establish a rapport with the therapist and determine if they are a good fit for the client's needs.

Cancellation Policy

At Change Your Future Therapy, we strive to provide high-quality therapy services to our clients. In order to ensure that our practice operates smoothly and efficiently, we have established the following payment and cancellation policy for therapy sessions: Payment Policy: All therapy sessions must be paid in full within 48 hours of the session. Payment can be made via card or bacs. Failure to pay for a session within the specified time frame may result in the cancellation of future therapy sessions until payment is made. Cancellation Policy: We understand that there may be times when clients need to cancel or reschedule therapy sessions. However, we ask that all cancellations be made with at least 24 hours' notice prior to the scheduled session time. This allows us to offer the appointment slot to another client who may be in need of therapy services. If a cancellation is made with less than 24 hours' notice or if a client fails to show up for a scheduled session, the client will be charged the full session fee and will not be entitled to a refund. Exceptions may be made in cases of emergency or extenuating circumstances, but this will be at the discretion of the therapist. We understand that unexpected circumstances can arise, and we will make every effort to accommodate our clients' needs while also maintaining the integrity of our practice.
